Make a planned gift through your estate
Leaving a legacy of caring for children in distress...
Through planned giving, you can direct your assets to The Moyer Foundation today- and make a difference in the lives of many children in distress for generations to come.
It enables you to make larger gifts than you can at this time while still enjoying full recognition for your generosity. In many cases it qualifies you to reduce current and future estate taxes.
Legacy gifts are highly individualized based on your personal situation. For information on how to make a planned gift to the Moyer Foundation please contact

VARIOUS PLANNED GIVING OPTIONS
Bequests
You can provide now for a future gift to the Moyer Foundation by including the Foundation in your will or trust. Bequests are gifts of cash, securities, real estate, life insurance and tangible personal property from your estate. You simply designate The Moyer Foundation as the beneficiary or one of the beneficiaries in these legal documents.
Retirement Plans
Designate The Moyer Foundation as a beneficiary of the remainder of your IRA or retirement plan. Since most retirement accounts are tax-deferred they are subject to taxation at the time of death. Making a non-profit such as The Moyer Foundation the beneficiary of the remainder of a retirement plan avoids both income and estate taxes.
Set up a Charitable Lead Trust
With a lead trust, you transfer your assets to a trustee, such as The Moyer Foundation. The trustee manages the trust for a specific number of years (usually 10-25) paying an annual sum to the Foundation to support its charitable programs. When the trust terminates, the principal plus any appreciation is transferred to your beneficiaries. When you set up such a trust, you receive a federal estate tax deduction equal to the estimated value of the annual trust payments to The Moyer Foundation. In addition, any appreciation of the assets will not be subject to additional estate tax.
Retained Life Estate
You can give your house to The Moyer Foundation take an immediate income tax charitable deduction for a portion of the appraised value and continue to live in your home for life. You remain responsible for all taxes and upkeep. At the end of the life estate, The Moyer Foundation would sell the property and use the proceeds to support the work that you care about most.
