"Our volunteers are a really an important part of what we do – they help make everything possible. There are many people who want to help but don't know how. The Moyer Foundation can show you how. Together we can help more kids in more ways every day."

 GIG Network: GET INTO GIVING
A new way to learn about philanthropy and support The Moyer Foundation's Camp Erin - bereavement camps for children and teens.

The Moyer Foundation’s GIG Network offers social networking, professional development, and volunteer opportunities to ambitious young philanthropists.

The GIG Network brings together a cross-section of the city’s brightest men and women who share a passion for wanting to support children in distress and a belief that together they can make a difference in the lives of grieving kids.

While providing great opportunities to meet new people and exchange business contacts, GIG events are really a place where young philanthropists meet to build lasting friendships, share big ideas and make a difference in our community.

GIG Network is active in both Seattle and Philadelphia communities! Contact Kayla at Kayla@moyerfoundation.org to find our more information on how to get involved or start your own GIG.

Networking Events

The Moyer Foundation will host a variety of networking events in 2011 at premier hot spots - providing opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and share common interests with your peers in a fun environment. Plus- you’ll hear the latest updates on Camp Erin and get the inside scoop on upcoming events and opportunities where you can get involved and give back -- in ways that work for YOU and your busy lifestyle.

Check back here or become a fan on our GIG Seattle or GIG Philly Facebook Pages for information on upcoming networking events!

Professional Development

Now is the time to invest in yourself and your career. GIG Network is an opportunity to learn from other professionals, share experiences, challenges and success stories and have fun while knowing you are also helping kids. The Moyer Foundation will provide different speakers at select events in 2011 to inspire, coach and provide direction.

Volunteer

As a young philanthropist, you know getting involved in the community is important, but we know that sometimes, it’s not always easy to find the right outlet. That’s why we provide opportunities for our members to volunteer in the community. You’ll have fun, meet people who share your interests and concerns, and make a real difference in the lives of children.

Volunteer outreach is a big part of our mission. Volunteers are at the heart of every Camp Erin—making it possible to help more grieving children each year. We believe everyone has something they can give. GIG can help connect you with volunteer opportunities and show you how to get involved in BIG AND SMALL ways to make a real difference for grieving children in our community.

How We Work

The GIG Network is directed by The Moyer Foundation staff with help from the GIG Committee of Young Philanthropists. Each year members donate $100 to support GIG Network and help send kids to camp. This membership allows GIG members acces to all GIG events, exclusive swag bags, sporting events and more! All donations are tax deductible and directly benefit grieving children through Camp Erin bereavement camps.
