The Moyer Foundation Community Grants Considerations

CAMP ERIN grants and partners are selected through a separate application process. If you are a non-profit organization seeking to apply for funding as a CAMP ERIN partner, please email your request to participate in the partner selection process here OR call 206-2980-1217 and to speak with the Camp Erin Project Director. If you are not seeking funding for Camp Erin, please refer to information below for instructions and eligibility for Community Grants.

To be considered for funding through Community Grants, an organization must operate in Washington State AND be designated as not-for-profit and tax exempt as defined under IRS 501 (c) 3 codes.

FUNDING RANGE: Grants awarded by The Moyer Foundation typically do not exceed $10,000.

The Moyer Foundation Board of Trustees is most interested in supporting organizations that meet the Foundation's mission and that have:

  • A program that directly benefits children in physical, emotional or financial distress (ages infant - 18 years)
  • Consistent and effective management
  • Clear goals and objectives
  • Broad base funding support
  • A demonstrated ability to respond to the needs of specific groups of children in a manner that yields measurable results
  • Requests submitted on a Moyer Foundation grant application form
  • Unless otherwise approved, ability to utilize funds within a one year period from the date grant is approved

The Moyer Foundation does not fund

  • Programs or associations that generate more than 50% of their funding from government funding or grants
  • Organizations that have received a grant from the Foundation within the last 12 months
  • Programs designed to directly benefit adults (training / education / treatment / prevention)
  • Advertising or fundraising drives
  • Partisan, political or denominational programs
  • General and administrative costs
  • Intermediary funding agencies
  • Administrative salaries, stipends or travel expense
  • Requests that are not in writing
  • Pass through grants (not-for-profit organizations that ask The Moyer Foundation for funds to distribute to other not-for-profit organizations)
  • Requests for specific programs which have already been completed
